The Village at Mayo Clinic
Home to the Arizona Transplant House & American Cancer Society Hope Lodge
Kitchen
Each casita has a large kitchen with all usual kitchen supplies available. Paper towels, pots, pans, plates, bowls, glassware, cooking and eating utensils are all provided. Guests bring their own food and share refrigerator and freezer space.
Laundry
Washers, dryers and typical ironing supplies are available in our laundry room. Laundry detergent is provided, but guests may also bring their own. A laundry basket is also provided in each guest room.
Recreation and Relaxation
No matter when you may stay at the Arizona Transplant House, there’s something for everyone in every season. During the winter months our patios and outdoor furniture make a nice setting in which to pass the time. Throughout the year, we often receive free tickets to local attractions, ballgames, etc. Closer to home, the House offers many common areas for enjoying time alone or time with House guests or visiting friends. We also provide hundreds of books, televisions, DVDs and the companionship of many friendly people.
Caregivers and Visitors
We require a support companion for each patient staying at the House. Though many patients initially feel well enough to do simple household tasks for themselves, often the rigor of medical appointments tires patients tremendously. The caregiver, typically a family member or close friend, handles the meal preparation and clean up, laundry, room cleaning, transportation and other patient needs. In addition, the caregiver serves as an invaluable emotional support. And that has proven exceptionally beneficial for transplant patients.
We welcome guests to the Village but ask that visitors check in at the Administrative Office and limit visiting to strictly the Brusally Community Center. Due to the large number of immune suppressed guests living in the casita we require that visitors refrain from entering the casitas and patient rooms.
Our Guest Rooms
Each casita at the Village has six bedrooms each with their own private bath. The following features are in all rooms:
Two queen beds, recliner, reading lamp, desk, closet space, alarm clock, laundry basket, linens for the beds and bathroom and phone with answering feature.

Maintaining Our Home
